Hear (Shma)
03:05
|
|||
Sh’ma…
Stand up now be recognized for all that you’ve done
Get up now, Yisrael, the Lord Gd is one
It’s easier not to do all that God has asked
But you’re who you are, and by that grace, you’re up for the task
Sh’ma…
Everywhere I look around, people want to change
They spray the faith with different paint and in a wider range
There’s no joy, they cry, why can’t we be just like the rest
To them I say there’s joy in who you are…..stand up now and say
Sh’ma…
So be like Avraham and shake the hand of everyone you meet
But don’t forget who you are, a people so unique
Hashem revealed himself to you and set your people free
And if that was all he’d done it’d be enough….but she stayed with you and me
Sh’ma…

Repair
03:18
|
|||
It’s gonna be a great day today; the sun is on its way
To fill the sky the sky for you and I, I’m going to smile when I pray
We’re gonna give it all we got, now get up off your knees
Someone’s asking where you are, say, Hineni, Hineni
I’m thankful each day that I wake up
I’ve got one more day to fill my cup
A joyful noise is way overdue
It’s a blessing to share this world with you
L’taken Olam, b’malchut Shaddai
I want to repair the world through the rule of God
Love this life you got, Baruch Hashem
You are not, you are not, you are not alone
So beat that drum, and Raise your voice
And shout it out loud
I want to see the world, right outside – grab my fears and shake out life
And be a light to everyone I meet,
I’m going to stand up straight, in my own faith
I’m thankful each day that I wake up
I’ve got one more day to fill my cup
A joyful noise is way overdue
It’s a blessing to share this world with you
L’taken Olam, b’malchut Shaddai
I want to repair the world through the rule of God
Love this life you got, Baruch Hashem
Woah oh oh oh oh
Love this life you've got
Be grateful to your God
Repair the world with him
Baruch Hashem

Unbroken
04:30
|
|||
This is for you. This is for me
There is a truth, within reach
And it’s beautiful and bright
Holy and right
There is a home, and you are safe
It was love that built that place
You are welcome here and you’re free
Under this tree with me
I was looking for Gd all my life
Being told that Gd was good but I wasn’t right
And being told I was born with a weight
From someone else’s mistake
Because you are told that unless you say Yes
You will pay for an ancient and old failed test
And no matter how good your life
It will never add up, in Gd’s eyes
And your seeking leads to questions
And questions lead to truth
Those lies dissolve and it’s just Gd and you
And you realize you are whole and you know
No sin on your soul from ages ago
You’re unchained, unbroken, unbowed
So lift your head up high, you can smile
Show Gd your face, even if it’s been a while
Raise your glass and stand tall
You were made of love, after all
And you can choose to be chosen
You can stand up off your knees
And the reward for doing good
Is the good in the world that you see
So I walked away from all that fear
And chose a new path that had been waiting for years
And there was plenty of room under this tree
For the whole world, even you and me
You’re unchained, unbroken, unbowed
Unchained, unbroken, unbowed
Where you go…
I will go…
Where you stay…
I will stay…
And your Gd…
Will be my Gd…
And where you fall
I will lay..
No veil on our eyes…
Just truth…
One Gd…
For me and you…
We are loved…
By unending love…
Ahavat…
Olam…

Elohai N'tzor
04:45
|
|||
Elohai, n’tzor l’shoni meira us’fatai midabeir mirmah (x2)
Oh Gd, I know that words can hurt
I also know that words can heal
And sometimes when I speak my mind,
the pain that I caused is real
Elohai, n’tzor l’shoni meira us’fatai midabeir mirmah (x2)
The words I hesitate to say,
Who knows how good they might have been
Or how they might have helped
To turn a frown into a grin
Oh Gd, please guard my toungue
From speaking ill to anyone
Don’t let my lips pass a lie
Or mislead with my reply
Elohai, n’tzor l’shoni meira us’fatai midabeir mirmah (x2)
“Sticks and stones may break my bones”
That’s what they say
But words cut deep, right to our hearts
And those wounds stay..
So help me think before I speak
And let your love show through me
Elohai, n’tzor l’shoni meira us’fatai midabeir mirmah (x2)
Ya ya ya…
Elohai, n’tzor l’shoni meira us’fatai midabeir mirmah (x2)

Sing
03:31
|
|||
We were made to walk through life in hand
To build our lives together with the land
To make a home, a welling for our dreams
To love each other and remember to sing
Shiru, Shiru L’Adonai (x4)
We’re all born of love, and light, and Joy
Every girl and every boy
Just beneath the Angels we were made
What a precious gift, this gift that Gd gave
Shiru, Shiru L’Adonai (x4)

Return
04:06
|
|||
I will take a long look at me
And think about what it is I see
Have I been good to you?
Did I do all that I said I’d do?
Remembering the words I’ve used
Thinking about the times I was rude
If I am thankful for this gift
Let me say it with deeds, not just lips
It’s going to be a brave new year
Starting right now, right here
And I will be strong and stand up tall
Reach out for others when they fall
And I will rejoice in my faith
And remember that love is why we’re made
Be the very best that I can be
For the world and for me
Every day, we live our lives
Some days we let ourselves slide
And we forget our way
Thankfully it’s not too late
Avinu Malkeinu, Choneinu V’aneinu
I may have done wrong at times I know
But through my actions I will show

Teshuva….Teshuva….Return….Return (x2)

Hineni
05:03
|
|||
Gd looked down and saw Avram
Walking in the garden.
He asked him a simple question
He said where are you?
Hineni, Hineni,Hineni, Here I am (x2)
They say sometimes lights outside of Torah
Are called to illuminate
And bring out new meaning
And to celebrate
So if you’re listening and feel like a stranger in a strange land
My friend we are on the same page
You can claim your place in our history
As you bring your story to light
And join with me…when we say…
Hineni, Hineni,Hineni, Here I am (x2)
This song is for those of us who are here by choice
And…here is the truth
We were all converts once, we are all Jews by choice
Every day we make…a choice.
So choose life and keep giving
Be all hands on deck
Our journey needs your story
To find out what’s next
So Step up…and say…
Hineni, Hineni,Hineni, Here I am (x2)

In the morning light,
We’ll be alright
And we’ll say, Modeh Ani
Thank you Gd,
For this life I’ve got
And for the Soul in me
Modeh ani lefanecha

A Joyful Noise
04:07
|
|||
When you look outside and see the world,
Do you think it’s made for you?
Or do you think it’s made for others,
Who claim to be more than you?
And when you lift your hand to question,
Do they look at you and frown?
And when you stand up to speak your mind,
Do their eyes say sit back down?
We were never meant to be a silent voice…
You change the world not with a whisper, but with a joyful noise
All good things have volume,
Struggle, love and life
You’re gonna make some kind of ruckus,
If you’re doing it right
(chorus)
This is what we do, this is who we are (x2)
So when you’re doubting you days,
Just know you’re not through
Cause you are loved, you are loved, you are loved,
And that joyful noise is you
(chorus)

Sarah Laughed
04:24
|
|||
Miracles abound, In front of you and all around
You and I, she and him, It’s a miracle that life begins
Every time we think we’re lost for good
The world keeps turning, just like it should
And out of the darkness came let there be light
And it’s a miracle we’re sharing space, here in this life
The universe is a concert, everything moves in time
Anything can happen when the moment is right
And Sarah laughed…
The day begins the same way each time
The sun and moon and stars, they all know their lines
Life has a heartbeat of its own, you know
The only thing unpredictable… the human soul
And out of the darkness came let there be light
And it’s a miracle we’re sharing space, here in this life
The universe is a concert, everything moves in time
Anything can happen when the moment is right
And Sarah laughed…
And we’re the change in things
The dreamers and the shapers, we’re the crafters and makers
All building our lives
And I try so hard to find G-d’s plan in mine
But I’m a rocky start… maybe that’s by design
And then I laugh, And Sarah laughed
And out of the darkness came let there be light
And it’s a miracle we’re sharing space, here in this life
The universe is a concert, everything moves in time
Everything can happen when the moment is right
And Sarah laughed…

Home
04:19
|
|||
Come on back, to your Father’s truth
And return, to the holy root
Come on back, to the wisdom of home
And realize that you’re not alone
Shine your light, like your mother said
For you were there, when we were led
There’s a path for us all to see
Just grab that lamp that’s at your feet
Eytz Chaim hi, La-macha-zikim bah
V’tom-cheha me-ushar
You can hear it, in the breeze
A story written in the leaves
Though those branches may wind and weave
It’s a tree of life, Eytz Chaim
(Chorus x2)
So come inside and find a seat
We’ll light those lights that usher peace
You can feel it in your bones
That growing song that calls you home
(Chorus x2)

We Are Here
03:46
|
|||
How far would you walk to find your home?
Some of us have been out walking far too long.
Seeking and asking and breathing in all the air.
Torah, the end of our long walk here.
Guard my tongue from disaster
I don’t want to be separate no more.
Make my words a prayer.
I am here.
The rain is gone now and so are all the lies.
No longer bruised and wounded are our lives.
Seekers, we are, just clinging to the Tree.
Through each other we will help keep each other free.
Guard our tongues from disaster.
We don’t want to be separate no more.
Gd, make our words a prayer.
We are here.
We are here.
